Regular Season Round 14: Stelmet ZG - Energa Czarni 81-73

TBL top team - Stelmet ZG (12-2) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked Energa Czarni (8-6) in Zielona Gora 81-73. The hosts trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 32-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Stelmet ZG made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Naturalized French Aaron Cel (200-87) notched 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and DR Congolese Christian Eyenga (201-89) supported him with 9 points and 7 rebounds. Even 13 points and 4 assists by the former international point guard Tomasz Snieg (190-89) did not help to save the game for Energa Czarni. American point guard Jordan Hulls (180-90, college: Indiana) added 12 points for the guests. Four Energa Czarni players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stelmet ZG have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-2 record. Loser Energa Czarni keeps the fifth place with six games lost. Stelmet ZG will meet AZS Koszalin (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Energa Czarni will play against Rosa Radom (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
