No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Triobet (15-6) beat bottom-ranked Olimpas (6-16) in Jonava 89-85 on Friday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Olimpas trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 30-23 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 85-89 at the end of the game. Triobet made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Triobet outrebounded Olimpas 47-36 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points. Paulius Vaitiekunas (205-92) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Triobet's coach Kestutis Narusevicius let to play all 12 players in such tough game. point guard Elvinas Gintvainis (182-92) answered with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and French forward Dainius Vaitelis (200-86) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Olimpas. Four Olimpas players scored in double figures. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Triobet. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Delikatesas and Trakai. Olimpas lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 16 games lost. Triobet will face Vilnius-MRU (#6) on the road in the next round. Olimpas will play against Suduva-Mantinga (#11) and hope to win that game.
