Regular Season Round 12: Ulster Rockets - Brunell 65-63

The most exciting game of round 12 in the Premier League took place in Belfast. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Brunell (6-4) to seventh ranked Ulster Rockets (5-7) 65-63 on Saturday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kerri Shields (175-90, college: Boston Coll.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and guard Mairead McNally (175-88, college: Stetson) who added 21 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Ulster Rockets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Spanish center Celia Menendez (188-90) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and Edel Thornton scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Ulster Rockets maintains seventh position with 5-7 record. Brunell at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. Ulster Rockets are looking forward to face league's second-placed UL Huskies in Limerick in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Brunell will play on the road against WIT Wildcats in Waterford and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
