No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Abejas (21-9) beat 11th ranked Gigantes (8-20) in Toluca 95-82 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 32-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Steffphon Pettigrew (195-89, college: W.Kentucky) notched 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and American-Jamaican forward McHugh Mattis (198-84, college: S.Florida) supported him with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists by American forward Derek Thomas (193-84, college: Appalachian St.) did not help to save the game for Gigantes.
