Regular Season Round 45: Sioux Falls S. - Delaware 87ers 117-103

The Sioux Falls Skyforce defeated the Delaware 87ers 117-103 Saturday night at the Sanford Pentagon. Sioux Falls dominated the second and third quarters to build an advantage that would eventually lead to Delaware’s 10th consecutive loss. Sioux Falls (14-7) had the hot hand from the field during the second and third quarters as they shot 57 percent from the field compared to 38 percent for Delaware (3-20). The Skyforce ended the night shooting 50 percent (43-of-86) including 41.2 percent (14-of-34) from behind the arc and held a 70-to-43 scoring advantage in the two quarters. Not only did Sioux Falls shoot well from the field, the Skyforce also turned in a solid performance from the free throw line as well. Five Skyforce players - Justin Hamilton, DeAndre Liggins, Tre Kelley, A.J. Davis and John Allen - were perfect from the line to lead Sioux Falls to a 17-of-21 mark. Sioux Falls was led by Hamilton, who scored 24 points and shot a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line and 3-of-3 from behind the arc. Two other Skyforce starters topped 20 points as Liggins and Kelley both finished the night with 21 points. Larry Drew II came off the bench to dish a game-high nine assists and Hamilton led the team with eight rebounds. Tiny Gallon posted game-highs in points (30) and rebounds (17) off the bench. Matt Bouldin finished with 19 points followed by Vander Blue with 18 in a reserve role. For the second straight night, the Delaware bench outscored the starters, this time by a 64-to-39 margin.
