Regular Season Round 15: Stade - Hertener Loewen 69-86

Rather expected game when 11th ranked Stade (2-12) lost at home to eighth ranked Hertener Loewen (7-8) 86-69 on Sunday. The game without a history. Hertener Loewen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Stade's 34. Hertener Loewen looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for center Blake Poole (195-88, college: St.Martin's) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). point guard Matt Reid (185-84, college: Cameron) contributed with 25 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Davon Roberts (197-86, college: Azusa Pacific) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and guard Reggie Hopkins (180-88, college: Queens, NC) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Stade. Hertener Loewen moved-up to seventh place in Group North, which they share with Recklinghausen. Stade lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Hertener Loewen will face higher ranked SC Rist Wedel (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stade will play against the league's second-placed Hannover Tigers (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
