Taby Basket delivered the third victory on Saturday night. This time they beat BG Lulea (0-3) 94-86. BG Lulea trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 19-14 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 86-94 at the end of the game. Taby Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to BG Lulea's 32. They outrebounded BG Lulea 41-27 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Fredrik Rasmusson (200-91) who scored 28 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Hampus Ahlin (194-95) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Taby Basket players scored in double figures. Taby Basket's coach Christer Stjernborg allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Joel Svensson (184-94) who recorded 32 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals and forward Erik Busk (198-97) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Taby Basket will face LF Future (#6) in Lulea in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BG Lulea will play on the road against KFUM Uppsala and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
