No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked EWE Baskets (13-5) beat 7th ranked ratiopharm Ulm (10-8) in Oldenburg 76-62 on Sunday. The game without a history. EWE Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for American guard Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri, agency: Pro One Sports) who led his team to a victory with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import point guard Julius Jenkins (187-81, college: Georgia South, agency: Pro One Sports) contributed with 19 points for the winners. American Matt Howard (203-89, college: Butler) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and international point guard Per Guenther (185-88) added 16 points in the effort for ratiopharm Ulm. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. EWE Baskets have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 13-5 record. ratiopharm Ulm at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. EWE Baskets will face league's leader Bayern Muenchen on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. ratiopharm Ulm will play against Telekom Baskets (#6) in Bonn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
