Regular Season Round 54: Delaware 87ers - Austin T. 99-87

The Austin Toros were held to a season low in points Monday morning in a 99-87 loss to the Delaware 87ers in Newark, Del. The Toros (10-13) have lost four of their past five games, with all four losses coming on the road. Josh Howard had a double-double for the Toros with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Courtney Fells scored 17 points and Flip Murray put up 14 in the loss. Delaware’s Tiny Gallon was the game’s leading scorer with 22 points. Five Delaware players scored in double figures. Delaware held the Toros to 42 points in the first half and led by 18 at halftime. The 87ers extended their lead in the third and went up by 26 going into the fourth quarter. The Toros held the 87ers to 11 points in the fourth but couldn’t overcome the deficit. Texas will have a rematch at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Delaware.
