The game in Turku supposed to be also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Tapiolan Honka (6-12) played at the court of 8th ranked TuRi (4-13). Tapiolan Honka smashed TuRi 83-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Tapiolan Honka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Tapiolan Honka forced 32 TuRi turnovers. American guard Shanel Harrison (182-90, college: La Salle) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 21 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Henna Koponen (183-86, college: Coker) chipped in 16 points. Guard Katleena Karkkainen (174-92) produced 19 points and the former international center Sofia Pelander (188-92) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Tapiolan Honka maintains sixth place with 6-12 record, which they share with Kerava. Loser TuRi keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. Tapiolan Honka will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TuRi will play against Torpan Pojat (#3) in Helsinki and hope to secure a win.
