Regular Season Round 26: Zanavykas - Triobet 88-98

Very predictable result when third ranked Triobet (17-7) won against 9th ranked Zanavykas (10-14) in Sakiai 98-88. Zanavykas was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 57-44 second half run of Triobet. They shot 67.2 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Triobet especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Tomas Milinskas (203-90) who scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Aurimas Urbonas (197-93) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). Triobet's coach Kestutis Narusevicius allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Paulius Beliavicius (194-88) produced 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and Paulius Kleiza (194-88) added 10 points and 8 assists respectively for the hosts. Five Triobet and four Zanavykas players scored in double figures. Triobet maintains third position with 17-7 record having just three points less than leader Mazeikiai, which they share with Delikatesas. Zanavykas lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 14 games lost. Triobet's next round opponent will be Zalgiris II (#8) in Kaunas where they are favorite. Zanavykas will play on the road against the league's second-placed Trakai and hope to win that game.
