Twelfth-ranked Barese (8-11) gave a tough game to second ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (13-6). Naturhouse Ferrara managed to secure only four-point victory 92-88. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 18-16 run, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 15-11. Naturhouse Ferrara made 97-of-103 charity shots (94.2 percent) during the game, while Barese only scored 75 points from the stripe. Naturalized American point guard Mike DiNunno (180-90, college: E.Kentucky) answered with 20 points and 4 assists and naturalized American forward Ryan Amoroso (205-85, college: San Diego St.) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Barese. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Naturhouse Ferrara maintains second place with 13-6 record behind leader Agrigento. Newly promoted Barese keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Naturhouse Ferrara's next round opponent will be league's leader Agrigento on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Barese will play against Chieti (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
