There was no surprise in Huelva where 9th ranked Conquero (6-10) was defeated by second ranked Rivas Ecopolis (12-4) 64-58 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. International center Laura Nicholls (189-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) fired 27 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American Rachel Allison (185-87, college: Baylor) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Dutch guard Tanya Broering (178-84) produced 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Romanian forward Claudia Pop (182-89) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Rivas Ecopolis maintains second position with 12-4 record having just two points less than leader Perfumerias. Conquero lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. Rivas Ecopolis will face Cadi ICG S. (#7) in Seu D'urgell in the next round where they are favorite. Conquero will play on the road against the league's leader Perfumerias Avenida in Salamanca and hope to win that game.
