Regular Season Round 28: Concordia - Bishop's 64-73

An interesting game for Gaiters (8-4) which played road game in Montreal, QC against one of their biggest challengers Stingers (6-6). Second ranked Gaiters managed to get a 9-point victory 73-64. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Gaiters forced 19 Stingers turnovers. The winners were led by point guard Jonathan Bermillo (183) who scored that evening 26 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and guard Onnex Blackwood (190) supported him with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by guard Mukiya Post (192) did not help to save the game for Stingers. Guard Jean-Andre Moussignac (188) added 15 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gaiters maintains second position with 8-4 record having twenty points less than leader Windsor. Stingers lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with six games lost. Gaiters will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Stingers will play again against the league's second-placed Gaiters in Lennoxville, QC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
