The game in Ulm was also quite interesting. Third ranked ALBA Berlin (16-4) played at the court of 7th ranked ratiopharm Ulm (11-9). ALBA Berlin managed to secure a 5-point victory 92-87 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ratiopharm Ulm won third quarter 24-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ALBA Berlin made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Polish point guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 assists and American swingman Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures. The former international Daniel Theis (204-92) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Will Clyburn (201-90, college: Iowa St.) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. ALBA Berlin have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 16-4 record having just two points less than leader B.Muenchen. Loser ratiopharm Ulm keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. They share the position with Ludwigsburg. ALBA Berlin will meet Phoenix Hagen (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ratiopharm Ulm will play against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#13) and hope to secure a win.
