Not a big story in a game in Giresun where 14th ranked Maliye Milli (7-13) was defeated by second ranked Yesilgiresun (15-5) 74-63 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-63. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Joshua Heytvelt (210-86, college: Gonzaga) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) who added 25 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Yesilgiresun's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Sean Carter (205-88, college: Massachusetts) responded with 9 points and 13 rebounds and guard Admir Aziz Kan (185-83) scored 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Yesilgiresun have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-5 record behind leader Darussafaka. Maliye Milli at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with 13 games lost. Yesilgiresun will face Balikesir (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
