Regular Season Round 28: Triobet - Mazeikiai 93-97

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Jonava. First ranked Mazeikiai faced 3rd ranked Triobet. Guests from Mazeikiai (22-4) defeated host Triobet (17-8) 97-93. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Triobet. Triobet was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 32-26 charge of Mazeikiai, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Darius Tarvydas (199-91) fired 33 points (!!!) for the winners. Swingman Vytautas Pikalavicius (196-90) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) produced 26 points and forward Tomas Milinskas (203-90) added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for lost side. Five Triobet players scored in double figures. Mazeikiai maintains first position with 22-4 record. Triobet at the other side dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost. Mazeikiai are looking forward to face TiuMenas-Ezer. (#5) in Moletai in the next round. Triobet will play on the road against the league's second-placed Trakai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
