Regular Season Round 28: Poitiers - Le Portel 81-79

A very close game took place in Poitiers between Poitiers and Le Portel. Eleventh ranked Poitiers (14-14) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Le Portel (15-13). Poitiers managed to escape with a 2-point win 81-79 on Saturday evening. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Le Portel's coach Eric Girard rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Poitiers moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Denain and St Quentin. Loser Le Portel keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Hyeres-Toulon and Fos Ouest. Poitiers will meet Nantes (#15) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Le Portel will play against ALM Evreux (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
