Regular Season Round 68: Sioux Falls S. - Canton C. 105-96

Date: February 11, 2014
The two best defensive teams in the NBADL got some offense going on Tuesday night as the Sioux Falls Skyforce outmaneuvered the Canton Charge 105-96 at the Sanford Pentagon with 2,582 in attendance. Both squads preach defense and put it into practice by holding opponents under 100 points per game. When the two teams shot a combined 55-111 through three quarters with Canton (20-12) leading 76-75, the stage was set for a tight fourth stanza. Only one team maintained the pace as Sioux Falls (19-11) converted opportunities from the field and the line and held the Charge to 7-25 shooting to close out the win. Tre Kelley pins the success on offense was taking advantage of the matchups. “The floor was open. They’re a bigger team, so our quickness bothered them. We started setting some high pick and rolls and (all the guards) made some plays.” Kelley also says the team was in synch for the late defensive push. “We communicated well in the fourth quarter and got stops when we needed them.” Kelley piled up the most points on the night for Sioux Falls with 25 counters. On the accompanying video see the sweet connection with Kelley and Larry Drew II with some fancy footwork from Justin Hamilton. Hamilton finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds, Drew II scored 20 while DeAndre Liggins notched 19 points 12 boards and 6 assists. Courtesy of: espn991.com
