Not a big story in a game in Mexicali where 7th ranked Huracanes (20-18) were defeated by third ranked Soles (28-9) 82-72. The game was mostly controlled by Soles. Huracanes was better in third quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 4 steals. International forward Roman Martinez (201-88, college: N.Mexico) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Bahamas power forward Ryan Moss (200-74, college: UALR) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and American swingman Cliff Tucker (198, college: Maryland) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Huracanes. Four Huracanes players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Soles. They maintain third place with 28-9 record having four points less than leader Halc.Rojos. Huracanes at the other side keep the seventh position with 18 games lost. Soles' next round opponent will be again Huracanes (#7) in Tampico. Huracanes will play on the road against Lechugueros in Leon and hope to win that game.
