Regular Season Round 24: Svisloch - Sozh Gomel 70-68

The most exciting game of round 24 in the Premier League took place in Osipovichi. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Sozh Gomel (16-7) to second ranked Svisloch (18-6) 70-68 in the game for the second place. Sozh Gomel was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a good game for Ukrainian center Maksym Kozlovets (205-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Siarhei Vabishchevich (192-88) contributed with 21 points and 5 assists for the winners. Ukrainian forward Sergei Dadukin (198-83) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and the former international point guard Siarhei Charykau (185-82, college: Yakima Valley CC) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for Sozh Gomel. Svisloch maintains second position with 18-6 record having six points less than leader Grodno-93. Sozh Gomel at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. Svisloch are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Prinemanye (#8) in Grodno in the next round where they are favorite. Sozh Gomel will play at home against Borisfen (#7) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
