Regular Season Round 33: Beijing Ducks - Fujian QB 109-104

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Beijing Ducks (23-10) defeated at home 10th ranked Fujian (15-18) 109-104. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Fujian was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Beijing Ducks made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Fujian turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) who scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Beijing Ducks' coach LuLei Min allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was international Zhelin Wang (215-94) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Delonte West (192-83, college: St.Joseph's) added 23 points and 17 rebounds respectively. Four Beijing Ducks and five Fujian players scored in double figures. Beijing Ducks maintains fourth place with 23-10 record. Fujian at the other side keeps the tenth position with 18 games lost. Beijing Ducks' next round opponent will be Shanghai Sharks (#7) on the road. Fujian will play against Sichuan BW and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
