Flamengo remained undefeated after two rounds of Liga Americas Group D action. The Brazilian outscored Mavort in overtime on Saturday. Marcelo Magalhaes scored 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to pace the winners. Mavort fell at 0-2 record after the loss. Flamengo pulled away for a 27:23 lead after ten minutes. The teams traded baskets throughout the second quarter. Flamengo ensured a 50:46 halftime lead. Things hardly changed after three quarters. Flamengo entered the fourth frame up by four 72:68. Mavort however unleashed 32 points in the final stanza and forced overtime. Flamengo held their opponents to just 5 points in the extra period and sealed the winning outcome. Vieira produced 24 points, while Olivinha Rodriguez added 18 points for the winners. Blake Walker responded with 32 points for Mavort. Elys Guzman produced 25 points in the loss.
