Regular Season Round 42: Gansos - Angeles 81-79

Bottom-ranked Gansos managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the two-game losing streak. This time they edged ninth-ranked Angeles in Ciudad de Mexico 81-79. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Angeles won third quarter 25-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gansos dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Angeles' 24. They outrebounded Angeles 51-28 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Angeles were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for CamRon Clay (203-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Harrison Smith (190, college: Texas Southern) contributed with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) replied with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Angeles. Gansos maintains fourteenth position with 4-36 record. Angeles lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the ninth place with 23 games lost.
