Regular Season Round 19: Fraport SKY II - Dragons 65-64

The most exciting game of round 19 in the ProB took place in Frankfurt. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Dragons Rhoendorf (10-9) to sixth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (10-9) 65-64 on Sunday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-15. But Dragons Rhoendorf won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for Nikolaj Vukovic (187-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. Johannes Richter (206-93, agency: LUMANI 10.7) helped adding 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side American power forward Cory Remekun (203-91, college: St.Louis, agency: SDJ Sports) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Fabian Thuelig (199-89) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Fraport Skyliners II have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in Group South, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Dragons Rhoendorf. Fraport Skyliners II is looking forward to face Speyer (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dragons Rhoendorf will play against Weissenhorn Youngstars (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
