Regular Season Round 34: Shanghai S. - Beijing Ducks 106-98

Beijing Ducks (#4) were upset in Shanghai by seventh ranked Shanghai Sharks 106-98. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 37-25. But Beijing Ducks won second period 28-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Quincy Douby (190-84, college: Rutgers) notched 37 points (!!!), 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and the former international point guard Wei Liu (190-80) supported him with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds by American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) did not help to save the game for Beijing Ducks. Forward Gen Li (196-88) added 17 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Beijing Ducks' coach LuLei Min let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Shanghai Sharks (20-14) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with TianJin S. and Liaoning H. Beijing Ducks at the other side keep the fourth position with 11 games lost.
