The game between fifth ranked ABA Strumica (7-5) and 7th ranked Karpos Sokoli (2-9) in Strumica on Thursday ended with biggest points difference. ABA Strumica outscored guests from Skopje 83-56. The game was mostly controlled by ABA Strumica. Karpos Sokoli managed to win second period 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ABA Strumica dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Karpos Sokoli's 20. They outrebounded Karpos Sokoli 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for ABA Strumica. They moved-up to fourth place. Karpos Sokoli lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. ABA Strumica will meet higher ranked Lirija (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Karpos Sokoli's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Skopje Vardar Apave.
