A very interesting game took place in Bursa. It ended with only two-point home defeat of higher ranked Final Genclik (10-11) to seventeenth ranked Bandirma Kir. (4-18) 97-95 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. The guests were ahead by 10 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 26-21 run, which allowed them to win the game. Bandirma Kir. shot 61.7 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Bandirma Kir. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Final Genclik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Five Bandirma Kir. players scored in double figures. point guard Erdem Ilter (188-90) produced 27 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and American guard Reginald Holmes (193-87, college: Morgan St., agency: Two Points) added 25 points (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for lost side. Final Genclik's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bandirma Kir. maintains seventeenth position with 4-18 record. Final Genclik lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with 11 games lost. Bandirma Kir.'s next round opponent will be higher ranked Pertevniyal (#16) in Istanbul and it may be quite challenging game.
