Quarter-Finals Round 3: DongGuan L. - TianJin S. 114-101

DongGuan claimed 2-1 lead over TianJin beating those in front of the home fans. TianJin Steel was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 38-23 third quarter run of DongGuan Leopards. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to TianJin Steel's 34. They outrebounded TianJin Steel 50-35 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. DongGuan Leopards brought some defensive toughness making 13 blocks. TianJin Steel was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Donte Greene (206-88, college: Syracuse) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 8 blocks. His fellow American import point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) contributed with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four DongGuan Leopards players scored in double figures. DongGuan Leopards' coach Brian Goorjian allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Sebastian Telfair (183-85) answered with 58 points (!!!) and 4 assists and forward Nan Zhang (197-81) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for TianJin Steel.
