The Fire stayed in the title hunt after they held off Bulleen in the semis. They will now take on the Rangers for the spot in the title clash. The hosts were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 20-14 run, which allowed them to win the game. Townsville Fire made 29-of-34 charity shots (85.3 percent) during the game. Bulleen Boomers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Suzy Batkovic-Brown (195-80) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Rachael McCully (170-82) contributed with 14 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Townsville Fire players scored in double figures. Guard Rebecca Allen (185-92) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and the former international swingman Tess Madgen (180-90) added 13 points and 7 assists in the effort for Bulleen Boomers.
