Regular Season Round 20: Palma - Guadalajara 61-62

Another exciting game for CB Guadalajara (12-6) which played in S'Arenal against second-ranked Palma (11-7). Third ranked CB Guadalajara upset home team edging them after exciting game by one point 62-61. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Palma. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Palma was ahead by 9 points after three quarters before a 19-9 charge of CB Guadalajara, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for CB Guadalajara especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Eduardo Duran (190-91) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and forward Raul Lazaro (195-87) who added 15 points during the contest. American point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) responded with 14 points and 5 assists and power forward Antonio Pantin (206-88, agency: Interperformances) scored 6 points and 7 rebounds. Palma's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. CB Guadalajara moved-up to second place. Palma at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Prat. CB Guadalajara will play against bottom-ranked Askatuak (#13) in San Sebastian in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Palma will play on the road against Prat (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
