Regular Season Round 18: Crnomelj - Terme Olimia 83-71

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Crnomelj (8-10) beat at home 7th ranked Terme Olimia (9-9) 83-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Crnomelj. Terme Olimia managed to win third quarter 18-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Guard Crt Ristic (182-89) notched 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and point guard Rene Zvan (182-87) supported him with 12 points. Even 17 points and 6 rebounds by forward Jure Struc (197-87) did not help to save the game for Terme Olimia. Forward Aljosa Remus (200-86) added 16 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Crnomelj maintains ninth position with 8-10 record. Loser Terme Olimia dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Elektro Gorenjska and Litija. Crnomelj will meet higher ranked Parklji (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Terme Olimia will play against Plama Pur and hope to secure a win.
