Very predictable result when seventh ranked ratiopharm Ulm (14-9) won against bottom-ranked Walter Tigers (4-19) in Tuebingen 81-77 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-10. But Walter Tigers won third quarter 27-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American Matt Howard (203-89, college: Butler) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Dominican point guard Edgar Sosa (190-88, college: Louisville) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. ratiopharm Ulm's coach Thorsten Leibenath allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Daequan Cook (196-87, college: Ohio St.) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Serbian center Bogdan Radosavljevic (213-93) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Walter Tigers. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ratiopharm Ulm have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 14-9 record. Walter Tigers lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 19 games lost. ratiopharm Ulm will face s Oliver Baskets (#15) in Wuerzburg in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
