Very predictable result in Ankara where ninth ranked TED Kolejliler (10-10) beat 14th ranked Mersin (6-14) 85-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by TED Kolejliler. Mersin managed to win third quarter 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TED Kolejliler looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian point guard Kristaps Valters (190-81) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and Montenegrin-Serbian center Vladimir Golubovic (213-86, agency: Beo Basket) who added 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five TED Kolejliler players scored in double figures. TED Kolejliler's coach Ercument Sunter used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized American forward Ali Karadeniz (203-80, college: Arizona) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Jordan Theodore (182-89, college: Seton Hall) scored 14 points and 5 assists. TED Kolejliler moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Besiktas. Mersin lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Olin Edirne. TED Kolejliler will meet higher ranked Anadolu Efes (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mersin will play against Olin Edirne (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
