Regular Season Round 21: Fraport SKY II - Leitershofen 83-61

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Leitershofen (4-17) was outleveled by fourth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (12-9) in Frankfurt 83-61 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-61. Fraport Skyliners II outrebounded Leitershofen 37-17 including a 28-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for center Tim Oldenburg (202-92) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Johannes Richter (206-93, agency: LUMANI 10.7) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Fraport Skyliners II players scored in double figures. Fraport Skyliners II's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Brandon Provost (190-90, college: UTPA) answered with 22 points and forward Kevin Wysocki (198-87) added 13 points in the effort for Leitershofen. Fraport Skyliners II have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in Group South, which they share with Leipzig. Leitershofen at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 17 games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face Licher Baeren (#7) on the road in the next round. Leitershofen will play against Baunach (#8) and hope to win that game.
