Very important is a road loss of third ranked Aldast Strakonice (12-16) against fifth ranked DSK Karlin (5-22) on Sunday night. Visiting Aldast Strakonice was defeated by DSK Karlin in Nymburk 80-64. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. DSK Karlin forced 19 Aldast Strakonice turnovers. Guard Alena Hunkova (174-87) notched 20 points to lead the effort and the former international guard Veronika Bortelova (172-78) supported her with 13 points, 6 assists and 6 steals. DSK Karlin's coach Daniel Kurucz used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by American guard Meixandra Porter (168-91, college: Nova SE) did not help to save the game for Aldast Strakonice. DSK Karlin will play against league's leader Kara Trutnov on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aldast Strakonice will play against SSMH Brno and hopes to get back on the winning track.
