Regular Season Round 21: Wisla Krakow - MKS Skierniew. 62-87

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Wisla Krakow (5-16) was outplayed at home by third ranked MKS Skierniew. (16-5) 87-62 on Sunday. The game without a history. MKS Skierniew. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Strangely Wisla Krakow outrebounded MKS Skierniew. 41-29 including a 20-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Wisla Krakow's players. Swingman Mariusz Lapinski (195-82) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!) for the winners and forward Mariusz Wojcik (200-79) chipped in 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was point guard Kacper Majka (180-97) with 15 points and 4 assists and Jakub Zaczek (202-96) scored 4 points and 11 rebounds. Wisla Krakow's coach Marcin Kekus gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for MKS Skierniew.. They moved-up to second place in Group C, which they share with UMKS Kielce. Loser Wisla Krakow keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. MKS Skierniew. will face AZS AGH Alstom (#5) in Krakow in the next round. Wisla Krakow will play on the road against Ostrow Mazow. (#12) in Ostrow Mazowiecki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
