Ratiopharm Ulm sneaked past Hapoel Jerusalem in the opening leg of the EuroCup Eighth-Final series. Edgar Sosa recorded 19 points in the victory. The Israeli team got to a brisk start. They dropped 27 points in the first period and accumulated a 5-point lead. Hapoel Jerusalem stretched the gap in the second frame. The visitors ensured a 50:43 halftime advantage. But Ratiopharm slowly turned things around in the second half. They pulled within five points at the final break 64:69. Ulm went on a 25:18 run in the fourth period to snatch a narrow victory at the end. Philipp Schwethelm chipped in 11 points, while Will Clyburn produced 10 points in the victory. Josh Duncan responded with 22 points for Hapoel Jerusalem. Artsiom Parakhouski tossed in 15 points and 8 rebounds in the loss.
