No shocking result in a game when third ranked Burgos (15-7) defeated at home 8th ranked Clinicas Rincon (10-12) 81-67. Clinicas Rincon was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 42-27 second half run of Burgos. They outrebounded Clinicas Rincon 50-27 including a 23-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Josep Ortega (201-84) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Dominican forward Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (205-76, agency: Duran International) answered with 13 points and 4 assists and British swingman Morayoninuoluwa Soluade (196-95) added 15 points in the effort for Clinicas Rincon. Four Clinicas Rincon players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Burgos maintains third place with 15-7 record having four points less than leader Andorra, which they share with Breogan. Newly promoted Clinicas Rincon keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Penas Huesca. Burgos will again play against Clinicas Rincon (#8) in Malaga in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
