Regular Season Round 20: Snaefell - KFI 106-76

Very expected game when 11th ranked KFI (4-16) was smashed by seventh ranked Snaefell (9-11) in Stykkisholmur 106-76. The game without a history. Snaefell led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 61.9 percent from the field. Snaefell had a 29-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American point guard Travis Cohn (187-89, college: Jacksonville) who scored 30 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. International forward Jon Olafur Jonsson (199-81) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. Four Snaefell players scored in double figures. Snaefell's coach Ingi Thor Steinthorsson felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American point guard Joshua Brown (187-88, college: Towson) produced 42 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Mirko Virijevic (201-81, college: Freed-Hardeman) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Snaefell maintains seventh position with 9-11 record. KFI lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 16 games lost. Snaefell's next round opponent will be higher ranked Njardvik (#4) in Njardvik and it may be quite challenging game. KFI will play at home against Stjarnan (#8) and hope to win that game.
