Semi-Finals Game 1: Victoria - Ottawa 70-78

Ottawa outlasted Victoria to enter the CIS Championship Final. Ottawa started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-11. But Vikies won third quarter 21-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Johnny Berhanemeskel (185) fired 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Caleb Agada (193) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Gee-Gees' coach James DeRouin used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Chris McLaughlin (208) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American swingman Terrell Evans (193) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
