Semi-Finals Game 1: Alberta - Carleton 55-79

Carleton stormed past Alberta into the championship clash. The game was mostly controlled by Ravens. Golden Bears was better in second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Golden Bears to just 4 points in third quarter. Ravens made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Golden Bears 43-31 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Thomas Scrubb (198-91) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds. The former international guard Philip Scrubb (190-92) contributed with 21 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Ravens players scored in double figures. Ravens' coach Dave Smart felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Joel Friesen (193) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Mamadou Gaeye (198) added 12 points in the effort for Golden Bears.
