Prievidza stormed past Banska Bystrica to step closer to the semifinal stage. The game without a history. Prievidza led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 38-of-44 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game, while SKP Banska Bystrica only scored twenty one points from the stripe. Prievidza forced 23 SKP Banska Bystrica turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Prievidza especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. SKP Banska Bystrica was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Croatian swingman Marko Batina (198-86) scored 24 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard, agency: I.D.S. Law) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Prievidza players scored in double figures. American point guard Chris Lowe (182-87, college: Massachusetts, agency: KMG Sports Management) responded with 15 points and his fellow American import power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL, agency: KMG Sports Management) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
