Very predictable result in Sao Paulo where tenth ranked Vivo/Franca (13-14) smashed bottom-ranked Espirito Santo (4-19) 106-82. The game was mostly controlled by Vivo/Franca. Espirito Santo was better in third quarter 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vivo/Franca dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Espirito Santo's 48. Vivo/Franca forced 21 Espirito Santo turnovers. It was a good game for the former international center Paulo Prestes (210-88) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field).
