We should mention about the upset which took place in Varese, where 12th ranked Cimberio Varese (8-14) lost at home to fifteenth ranked Sutor Montegranaro (7-15) 69-75. It looked good early as Cimberio Varese took an 13-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Sutor Montegranaro took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 6 points. They made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Cimberio Varese only scored six points from the stripe.
