Semi-Finals Game 1: Halc.Rojos - Halc.Xalapa 93-62

Halcones Rojos cruised past Halcones Xalapa in the opening game of the LNBP semifinal series. The game without a history. Halcones Rojos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Halcones UV Xalapa's 32. They outrebounded Halcones UV Xalapa 35-21 including a 26-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Puerto Rican forward Renaldo Balkman (201-84, college: S.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. American guard LeRoy Hickerson (196-82, college: Cumberlands) contributed with 17 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Halcones Rojos' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Trey Gilder (206-85, college: Northwestern St.) answered with 15 points (made all of his seven free throws) and international guard Orlando Mendez-Valdez (183-86, college: W.Kentucky) added 11 points in the effort for Halcones UV Xalapa.
