Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (16-7) defeated on the road 11th ranked Melilla Baloncesto (8-15) 82-72 on Friday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-72. It was a very good performance for Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Adrian Laso (205-90) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Laso is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. Leche Rio Breogan's coach Lisardo Gomez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Juan Riera (188-79) replied with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Hector Manzano (207-80) added 9 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Melilla Baloncesto. Leche Rio Breogan have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Burgos. Melilla Baloncesto lost third consecutive game. Loser Melilla Baloncesto keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Leche Rio Breogan will have a break next round. Melilla Baloncesto will play again at home against Leche Rio Breogan (#4) and hope to win that game.
