Handlova prevailed against Iskra Svit to cut the deficit in the quarterfinal series. Iskra Svit was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Iskra Svit was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Montenegrin guard Milos Djurisic (194-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Jozef Vojtek (204-85) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. Handlova's coach Ludovit Smacko used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) with 29 points and the other American import forward Gabe Knutson (206-91, college: Lehigh) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Iskra Svit players scored in double figures.
