We should mention about the upset which took place in Szczecin, where 6th ranked Wilki Morskie (14-10) lost at home to ninth ranked Stal Ostrow (12-12) 72-76. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-16. But Wilki Morskie won second period 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by center Wojciech Zurawski (205-76) who scored that evening 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and point guard Tomasz Ochonko (184-86, agency: Promotex) supported him with 17 points and 4 assists. Even 24 points and 6 rebounds by the former international Zbigniew Bialek (202-82, agency: Promotex) did not help to save the game for Wilki Morskie. point guard Marcin Flieger (182-84, agency: Promotex) added 11 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Stal Ostrow maintains ninth position with 12-12 record. Wilki Morskie at the other side keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. Stal Ostrow's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked MCKiS Jaworz. (#14) in Jaworzno where they are favorite.
