Quarter-Finals Round 4: Handlova - Iskra Svit 71-91

Iskra Svit overcame Handlova on the road to step closer to the semifinal stage. It looked good early as Handlova took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Iskra Svit had a 29-14 second period charge getting the lead and Handlova was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 71-91. They outrebounded Handlova 41-20 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Iskra Svit especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Handlova was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) who scored that evening 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and the other American import forward Lakeem Jackson (196-89, college: S.Carolina) supported him with 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Even 17 points by forward Ondrej Haviar (194-85) did not help to save the game for Handlova. The former international Tomas Mrvis (200-91) added 9 points and 5 rebounds for lost side.
